1. Adult and voluntary participation
I confirm that I am at least 18. I participate voluntarily. A purchase or connected couple space does not give either partner authority over the other person’s participation, account, answers, or safety decisions.
2. Consent for each activity
I will ask for and respect consent for conversations, touch, read-aloud exercises, shared tasks, and other activities. Either person may pause, modify, or stop at any time without penalty. I will not use the program to demand disclosure, force reconciliation, prove fault, or keep score.
3. Separate accounts and diagnostic privacy
Each partner uses their own account and password. Shared course completion may be visible to both. A diagnostic belongs to the person who completes it. I will not pressure my partner to share a result. A voluntarily shared result remains visible until its owner unshares it.
4. Emotional discomfort and judgment
Reflection can bring up sadness, anger, shame, grief, conflict, or other discomfort. I will use my judgment, take breaks, and seek qualified support when appropriate. The Four Bases of Love cannot assess my relationship, monitor an activity, or determine whether participation is safe for me.
5. Abuse, coercion, and danger
The Four Bases never require tolerating abuse or surrendering boundaries. If there is fear, coercive control, stalking, threats, sexual pressure, or violence, a couples exercise may be unsafe. I will prioritize individual safety planning and qualified support. In immediate danger I will contact local emergency services rather than rely on this website.
6. Educational program—not professional care
The program and diagnostic are educational self-reflection tools, not clinical assessments, diagnoses, therapy, medical or legal advice, crisis services, or professional care. No professional relationship is created.
7. No guaranteed outcome
Relationship outcomes depend on both people and circumstances outside the program’s control. The Four Bases of Love does not guarantee improved intimacy, fewer conflicts, reconciliation, safety, or any specific result.
8. Ordinary participation risks
To the extent permitted by law, I accept the ordinary emotional and interpersonal risks of voluntary self-guided relationship reflection. I remain responsible for deciding whether and how to participate. I do not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived, and this does not excuse fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence.
9. Recorded agreement
By checking the required agreement box, I confirm that I have read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, am at least 18, and acknowledge this Participant Agreement and the Program & Safety Disclaimer. The service records the time and policy version associated with my acceptance.
